OVERVIEW
The Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program (ERIP) is made up of two
incentive options: Prescriptive Projects and Custom Projects.
Prescriptive
Customers can apply for rebates for predefined technologies on a
per-unit basis. You can apply for Prescriptive Project
incentives after buying and installing eligible equipment, or request
pre-approval before purchase and installation. These projects
will tend to involve replacements and upgrades to existing systems.
The incentive is based on what is installed.
Custom
Financial incentives are also available for retrofits that do not
include energy-efficient technologies specified by Orangeville Hydro
in the Prescriptive path, provided the projects will measurably reduce
electrical peak demand and are approved before commencement. All
technology, equipment and systems used in Custom Projects are
evaluated on the basis of their power and energy performance
improvement.
Financial incentives are offered based specifically on the amount of
kW demand reduced. The incentive offered of $250/kW is based
specifically on the level of improvement.
ELIGIBILITY
- ERIP is open to all commercial, industrial, agricultural and
institutional customers within the Orangeville Hydro service area
- To be eligible, applications must be received by mail or courier at The
Orangeville Hydro Office by December 31, 2010.
