OVERVIEW
The Great Refrigerator Roundup is a program designed to remove older,
inefficient fridges and freezers from the electricity system. It
is a program that offers to pick up older refrigerators and freezers
as well as window air conditioners and dehumidifiers from residents of
Ontario, and fully decommission them in an environmentally friendly
manner.
ELIGIBILITY
To qualify for an appliance pick-up, you must be arranging for the
pickup of an appliance from the ‘primary appliance’ category below.
If you have at least one primary appliance to be picked up you may

- in working condition at time of pick up

- window air conditioners must be removed from the window prior to pick-up
*Note: Ammonia-based refrigerators are not eligible for pick up and
