OVERVIEW
The Multifamily Electricity Efficiency Rebates (MEER) initiative enables owners and managers of multi‐residential buildings in Ontario to save up to 40% on electricity‐saving upgrades.

ELIGIBILITY

  •  All Ontario privately owned and assisted and Social Housing (ASH) buildings with six residential units or more that account for at least 50% of the total building floor space.

  • Buildings zoned as mixed-use (multi-residential and commercial space)

  • If you’ve already completed upgrades, you may still be eligible for rebates.

  • Any project started after January 1, 2008 may qualify for rebates.

  • You must be the owner, manager, or authorized representative in order to apply

  • There are two type of projects that can qualify for the MEER program

Prescriptive Projects

These are the most common upgrades that buildings will undertake. Just choose from the list of upgrades, calculate your potential savings and decide which one(s) to implement.

Custom Projects

Custom Projects are those that do not fall under the Prescriptive List and generally require more specific electrical upgrades. The proposed solution is evaluated on the energy savings improvement.

BONUS

  •  A monetary incentive for completing the retrofit(s)
